What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Alongside them, websites can use similar technologies such as local storage, which works the same way from your point of view. This policy covers both.

Our approach

We use as little as possible. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. Everything below is either necessary for the site to work or a convenience that you control.

What we use, and why

Strictly necessary

These cannot be switched off, because the site cannot function without them.

Sign-in session — keeps you signed in to your account as you move between pages. Cleared when you sign out.
Admin session — keeps pharmacy staff signed in to the management dashboard.
Security — supports the checks that protect accounts from repeated password guessing.

Functional

These remember choices you’ve made, so you don’t have to repeat yourself.

Your basket — remembers what you’ve added to the shop basket so it’s still there when you come back. Stored on your device only.
Pharmacy medicine answers — holds your questionnaire answers on your device between adding an item and checking out, so you don’t answer twice.
Postcode — may remember a postcode you’ve entered for a delivery check.

What we don’t use

No advertising or retargeting cookies. No social media tracking pixels. No cross-site profiling. We currently run no third-party analytics on this website.

Third parties

Some features rely on other companies, who may set their own cookies when you interact with them:

Stripe — when you pay by card, on Stripe’s own checkout page, including cookies used for fraud prevention. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on the site.
Supabase — provides the sign-in system behind your account.

We also call postcodes.io to check whether a postcode falls in our delivery area. Only the postcode is sent, never anything that identifies you.

Our app and offline storage

If you install this website to your home screen, a service worker stores copies of pages you’ve visited so they still open without a connection. This is held on your device, contains no personal data beyond the pages themselves, and is cleared if you uninstall the app or clear site data.

Pharmacy staff who opt in to order notifications have a notification subscription stored, which we use only to alert them to new orders.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings, and clear site data at any time. Bear in mind that blocking the necessary ones will stop you signing in or keeping a basket.
