What is high blood pressure?

High blood pressure (hypertension) is known as a silent killer because it usually has no symptoms. Left untreated it significantly increases the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney disease.

Around 1 in 3 adults in the UK have high blood pressure — and many don't know it. A simple check at our pharmacy could be one of the most important things you do for your health.
