Free NHS treatment in West Bromwich — no GP appointment

Pharmacy First is an NHS service that lets specially trained pharmacists assess and treat seven common conditions — supplying prescription-only medicines, including antibiotics, where clinically appropriate. At Lyng Pharmacy on Lyng Lane, West Bromwich, consultations take place in a private room, need no appointment, and are free for everyone; any supplied medicine follows normal NHS prescription rules.

The seven NHS Pharmacy First pathways are sore throat (age 5+), sinusitis (12+), earache in children (1–17), infected insect bites (1+), impetigo (1+), shingles (18+) and uncomplicated UTIs in women aged 16–64. Alongside these, our free minor illness service covers everyday problems from hayfever and conjunctivitis to head lice and eczema.
