The terms that apply when you buy from our online shop. Please read them before ordering.
The shop is operated by Gurdal Ltd trading as Lyng Pharmacy, a registered pharmacy at 1 Lyng Lane, West Bromwich B70 7RW. Registered pharmacy premises number 1092508. Superintendent Pharmacist: Jeetender Singh Sahota, GPhC registration 2048691.
You can check our registration on the General Pharmaceutical Council register at pharmacyregulation.org.
Adding items to your basket isn’t an order. A contract forms only when we confirm your order by email after payment has succeeded. If we can’t supply something, we’ll tell you and refund that item in full.
You must be 16 or over to place an order. Some products have their own age restrictions, which we apply.
We may refuse or cancel an order where a pharmacist judges a product unsuitable, where quantities suggest misuse, where we suspect fraud, or where a product is out of stock. This is a professional judgement we’re required to make.
We sell two categories of medicine online:
Where you order a P medicine you’ll be asked to answer screening questions. Your answers are reviewed by our pharmacist before your order is dispatched, and your order will be held until that check is complete. If the pharmacist decides the medicine isn’t suitable for you, we will cancel that item and refund it in full — and we’ll usually ring you to talk through alternatives.
Always read the label and patient information leaflet. Medicines sold here are not a substitute for seeing your GP where symptoms are severe, persistent or unusual. If you feel very unwell, contact NHS 111 or, in an emergency, call 999.
We enforce legal quantity limits on certain medicines, including paracetamol and aspirin, and may limit quantities of others at our discretion.
Prices include VAT where applicable and are shown in pounds sterling. Most medicines are zero-rated for VAT; other products are standard-rated. Your receipt shows the VAT included.
We take payment by card at the time of ordering, processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. We no longer offer payment on delivery or collection.
We try hard to keep prices accurate, but if an item is listed at an obviously wrong price we’ll contact you before dispatching and you can confirm at the correct price or have a full refund.
We deliver free to addresses within roughly five miles of the pharmacy on orders over £15. Below that a delivery charge of £2.95 applies. Collection from the pharmacy is always free.
Delivery is usually within one to two working days, but these are estimates rather than guarantees. We’ll contact you if there’s a delay.
Someone must be available to receive the order. Where nobody is in, our driver will attempt redelivery or leave a card. Medicines are never left unattended on a doorstep.
Collection orders are held for 14 days, after which we may return the items to stock and refund you.
Your cancellation and return rights, including the 14-day cooling-off period and the important exception that applies to medicines, are set out in full in our returns and cancellations policy.
We are responsible for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products.
We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses, since the shop is supplied for domestic and private use.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
